Pyla house is a private residence designed by Tefkros Angelides and currently under construction. The property comprises a total of approximately 400 m2 of covered areas and is designed to the latest EU thermal performance standards. Extensive use of floor to ceiling glazing is one of the features employed to create an ambience of light and promote continuity between indoor and outdoor living spaces.
A fully detailed design was commissioned based on a robust Client Brief and Value Managed throughout the design process. A Procurement Strategy was developed utilising a main contractor and client supplied materials and following a prequalification and formal tender process, the main contractor (Yiallouros & Sons) was appointed. The contract is based on a fixed price lump sum with fully detailed Bills of Quantity and ETEK approved terms and conditions of contract, administered by Soteris Nicolaou, a RICS Quantity Surveyor.
The project is contracted for completion in August 2010 however the current target for substantial completion is June 2010.
